Donation to Shelterbox Australia

Newcastle Sunrise has made a $500 donation to Shelterbox Australia following a number of devastating natural disasters around the world.

Shelterbox and Rotary are official partners in disaster relief. When a natural disaster occurs, the Shelterbox provides enough supplies for 10 days for a family of four.

Each Shelterbox costs around $1000 and Newcastle Sunrise is delighted to assist Shelterbox Australia with providing more Shelterboxes around the world.

In 2015 the Club purchased a Shelterbox and in 2016 we received news that it had been deployed to aid a family in Africa.
